I am about to start a major new modelling project. I am going to build a model of Llareggub village, of Dylan Thomas' 'Under Milk Wood' trying to keep very strictly to the written descriptions in the text. It will be at 7mm. scale set just post-1936 Coronation, date interpreted from the book. My draft desigm closely follows his sketch village layout which is on the National Library of Wales web site. Alas as the setting is somewhere in the wilds of the coastline of West Wales there will be no trams. There will be however a 20 seat Thornycroft bus running to Pembroke. twice a week. Because of various medical conditions I can only use non-invasive materials and adhesives so it is card, stripwood and PVA glue, with acrylic paints. Its home is in a quite small ex-store room. I am being persuaded by my grand-children to have a 'blog' and record progress, but my IT skills are minimal and it will have to wait until one of them does the necessary. I will keep you posted.
